My goal was to create a visually attractive cover that would tie all the stories together, reflecting the soul of this novel. The stories takes place in two different continents as well as in very contrasting environments. The environments are tied together, using the element of the ocean, creating a link between the different worlds – the urban city of New York and the dreamlike Caribbean and Israel. Water is also a symbol of life, as no life can exist without it.

The red electrocardiogram line shapes the word ‘liv’ along with a heart, to reflect how close the line is between life and death. ‘Liv’ is a Swedish name, and is also a word meaning ‘life’.
